The Broadway Limited Imports HO EMD GP35 visits our Wisconsin & Southern staff layout in this Product Review video. Join Model Railroader Senior Editor Cody Grivno as he talks about the features on our Paragon4-equipped Chicago, Burlington & Quincy sample. Learn more about the sound and light functions on the four-axle road locomotive, see it lead a short train and switch industries, and find out more about the prototype CB&Q 992.

In addition to CB&Q, the Broadway Limited Imports HO EMD GP35 is decorated for Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe (blue and yellow warbonnet), BNSF Ry. (Heritage III), Chesapeake & Ohio (dark blue and yellow), CP Rail (Action Red with Multimark herald), New York Central (black and white), Pennsylvania RR (Dark Green Locomotive Enamel), Southern Ry. (“tuxedo” scheme, high short hood), Southern Pacific (gray and scarlet), and Union Pacific (Armour Yellow and Harbor Mist Gray with “Dependable Transportation” slogan). Each paint scheme is offered in two road numbers (direct-current models are offered in one number each); an undecorated model is also available. All models have a low short hood unless noted.

The HO scale Electro-Motive Division GP35 features an ABS body, die-cast metal chassis, dual-mode Paragon4 sound decoder featuring Rolling Thunder, back-electromotive-force control, and a built-in capacitor pack. The Broadway Limited Imports model also has railroad-specific details and many separate, factory-applied parts, including handrails, grab irons, windshield wipers, and etched-metal grills.

Models with a dual-mode Paragon4 sound decoder featuring Rolling Thunder are priced at $399.99. Direct-current models (Stealth series) with a factory-installed 8-ohm speaker sell for $299.99. The GP35 has a minimum operating radius of 18”.
