Model Railroader After Hours | June 25, 2024. After Hours is an informal livestream hosted by Trains.com staff members... after the “work” of the day is done, there’s aways something else fun! Although David Popp typically hosts this Trains.com LIVE EVENT, he and other Trains.com staff members have been rather busy dismantling Model Railroader magazines’s notable Milwaukee, Racine, & Troy (MR&T) HO scale layout — all in preparation for the relocation of our editorial office. Co-host Bryson Sleppy takes a moment to explain some of the efforts he, Cody Grivno, Ben Lake, Kent Johnson, David Popp and others have made to pack so many memorable parts of the pike.
PLUS, you can also keep an eye on their progress via the Trains.com “MR&T Monitor” webcam, available during daytime, working hours.

Farewell MR&T The King of Layouts you will be missed. Hopefully MR Staff will rebuild it and make it portable.
With the M R & T gone, will be interesting to see where you will show off locomotives being reviewed. Any of the Wisconsin & Northern being saved?
Guess I’ve not been paying close enough attention. Where is MR relocating to, and is everyone (staff) moving also, or have some opted to pursue other interests in Wisconsin? Sad to see things change after the decades in Milwaukee…
It is the end of another era. This one broke me up.
How sad to see it all go, I can only hope that what’s next will be even better.
Very sad to see the MR&T join the ranks of the Fallen Flags. Well, I can cross off my bucket list seeing the MR&T person. The end of an era.
Hoping for a smooth and safe move and many happy years ahead!
Great job Bryson!
Come on guys! Watch your own vids and remember to keep the mic AWAY from your mouth!!! Act like Raymond’s brother and touch your chin! It’s so simple, even a modeler can do it! :eyeroll:
As an N scale modeler, I’m glad to see that your Stateline layout can be easily moved to your new location. My N scale club has lost its layout location many times. Since we’re a modular club we can fairly easily put our modules in storage when this happens. Four your HO layout at your new location, you might consider making it modular or sectional. You could start with your Freemont module and add to it.
Hi Crew,
Obviously a very sad time. I don’t know if your budget allows for it but (professionally applied) expanding foam, the type used in building construction, can be used to permanently stabilize land forms that you wish to salvage. For economy’s sake, I recommend gathering an inventory of all sections which would need to be treated for preservation before pursuing this option. If your inventory is too small for this option, there are self-application packages available.
