SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The San Francisco Bay Area’s rail operators are gearing up for Super Bowl LX, set for this Sunday, Feb. 8, at the rail-friendly Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. BART, Caltrain, Amtrak’s Capitol Corridor, and the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority are offering regular or special operations on game day, as well as transportation to activities preceding the game. Those begin today (Monday, Feb. 2).

The game at 3:30 p.m. PT matches the Seattle Seahawks (14-3) and New England Patriots (14-3).

Capitol Corridor service will operate a special schedule on game day, with special ridership rules in effect. All Capitol Corridor trains on Feb. 8 will require reservations, and regular monthly and multi-ride tickets and the Tap2Ride option will not be honored.

Tickets are available at the Capitol Corridor or Amtrak websites or app; advance purchase is strongly recommended because of limited capacity. More information is available here.

Caltrain will provide its regular half-hourly service on game weekend. The best way to reach the stadium using Caltrain is to ride to the Mountain View station and transfer to Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority Orange Line light rail. Caltrain also offers this visitors’ guide on attending other Super Bowl-related events around the Bay Area during game week.

Bay Area Rapid Transit also provides service to the game; passengers can travel to BART’s Milpitas station and take the VTA Orange Line to the stadium. BART will offer service every 20 minutes, with VTA matching that frequency. BART also offers service to a Fan Zone Super Bowl watch party in Oakland, and to events leading up to the game. Its Super Bowl service guide is available here.

VTA serves the stadium via its Orange and Green lines, as well as by bus. It plans additional service before and after the game; that information is available here.
