Enjoy a visit back to JSM’s Lionelville for Christmas 2013. Running on the main line is MTH 9401 Berkshire pulling O scale freight cars from MTH. On the branch line, a Lionel 726 Berkshire with 2426W semi-scale tender from 1947 is pulling K-Line Midnight Chief passenger cars.
Other items of interest shown in the video includes a collection of Atlas 40′ and 36′ O scale reefers, Lionel 1950 freight set #2169WS with 773 Hudson, Lionel 1950 madison car passenger set #2148WS with factory installed window images, Lionel 1950 Berkshire #736 pulling a fantasy set of 6555 Sunoco tank car, 6520 searchlight car, 2460 Bucyrus Erie crane car, and 6420 DL&W searchlight work caboose. Also shown is Lionel 1952 set #1479WS with 2056 Hudson locomotive.
Also seen from 1990-1991 is Lionel Standard Gauge Blue Comet passenger set and 408E State Set, the largest Lionel made during the Pre-war years. They can be compared to the 252 engine with 4 wheel 800 series freight cars and passenger set 294, the smallest made during the same era.
Be sure and catch the 3656 cattle car and 3472 milk car, two of the most popular post-war accessories Lionel ever produced.
The tour of the train room concludes with a set of 1920’s -1930’s milk bottles which includes a rare “cream top” with spoon, and a collection of 1/72 scale diecast WWII airplanes which went up against the Japanese in the Pacific.
