DALLAS — Light rail service in downtown Dallas remains disrupted as a result of Wednesday’s fire involving a train near the Pearl/Arts District station.

As of today (Aug. 1, 2025), Dallas Area Rapid Transit reports shuttle trains are operating between the Victory and Pearl/Arts District stations, as well as the EBJ/Union and Pearl/Arts District station. Shuttle buses are operating between the Pearl/Arts District and SMU/Mockingbird stations for the Red, Blue and Orange lines, and between Part/Arts District and Deep Ellum on the Green Line. More details are available here.

The National Transportation Safety Board announced Thursday night that it is investigating the July 30 fire that sent six people to the hospital [see “DART light rail service remains disrupted  …,” Trains.com, July 31, 2025].

KXAS-TV reports passengers are experiencing commutes up to 30 minutes longer because of the continued closure of the tunnel under downtown.
