Logo of CTRail Hartford LineHARTFORD, Conn. — Full Amtrak and CTRail service on the Hartford Line will resume between Hartford and Springfield, Mass., on Saturday (Nov. 1), following the completion of track projects that led to long-term substitution of buses for some trains.

In all, 10 trains will be restored north of Hartford:

— Northbound: CTRail train 4400 (departing New Haven at 7:35 a.m.); CTRail No. 4404 (departing 8:20 a.m.); Amtrak No. 490 (departing 9:42 a.m.); Amtrak No. 470 (departing 10:51 a.m.) and CTRail No. 4406 (departing 11:35 a.m.)

— Southbound: Amtrak train No. 471 (an 8:55 a.m. departure from Springfield), CTRail No. 4403 (departing at 10:07 a.m.); CTRail No. 4405 (departing 11:30 a.m.); Amtrak No. 473 (departing 12:05 p.m.); and CTRail No. 4407 (departing 1:50 p.m.).

Some bus substitutions will occur Nov. 14-17 for additional Amtrak construction. More information is expected to be available soon.

Trains had been replaced by buses since May to allow the Connecticut Department of Transportation to build a new station at Windsor Locks with high-level platforms,  new lighting, and ADA-accessible fixtures.
