Logo for NJ Transit "Meet Our Rail Fleet" ebentHOBOKEN, N.J. — NJ Transit is partnering with three other organizations for a “Meet Our Rail Fleet” event — featuring displays of historical equipment and an opportunity to learn about careers with the transit agency — set for Sunday, Oct. 12, at Hoboken Terminal.

The event — in conjunction with the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey, the Tri-State Railway Historical Society, and the Morristown & Erie Railway, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. near Track 17 at the terminal. There is no admission charge. It will feature locomotives from NJ Transit’s heritage fleet, including the unveiling of the latest addition to that collection: GP40PH-2B No. 4202, which will wear a paint scheme honoring the Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines, adapted from the 1960s=era PRSL Dark Green Locomotive Enamel livery.

Along with other representatives of the heritage fleet, the event will feature the sale of exclusive merchandise including shirts, posters, and calendars. More information is available here.
