LOS ANGELES — Tickets are now on sale — and some are already sold out — for Metrolink’s annual Holiday Express trains, set to operate during three December weekends at sites in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside and Ventura counties.
The trains feature round trips of approximately 75 minutes, featuring Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and helpers including animated characters. Standard seats are $30; premium seats are $35; and a small number of single seats facing the train interior are available for $25. Children 2 and under can ride free on the lap of an adult. Tickets must be purchased online in advance and are available here, along with additional information.
“There’s something truly magical about Metrolink’s Holiday Express trains that capture what this time of year is all about,” Metrolink board member Karen Spiegel, a Riverside County supervisor, said in a press release. “This heartwarming experience enriches our local communities and creates memories that last long after the season ends.”
Passengers are welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages; strollers are not permitted on the trains and should be stored in vehicles during the trip. Metrolink will partner with local nonprofit groups to collect toys at each event to support families in need.
