BOSTON — The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen has reached a tentative agreement with Keolis Commuter Services, contract operator of the Masschusetts Bay Transportation Authority commuter rail network, for a five-year contract retroactive to July 1, 2023.

If ratified, the agreement would provide for five years of 5% wage increases, plus an additional $2 per hour in 2027, for a compounded wage increase of 31.87%. Other terms include an additional three days of annual sick leave, a lower threshold for vacation days, and the addition of Juneteenth as a holiday, the union said in a message on its website.

The agreement covers 194 BLET members. Ratification ballots were mailed last week.
