CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Marty Thomas has been named president of TTX Co., the railcar pooling company announced today (Dec. 8, 2025).

The promotion is effective immediately. Thomas will assume day-to-day leadership of TTX, reporting directly to CEO Tom Wells.

Thomas joined TTX in November 2024 as executive vice president, overseeing supply chain, information technology, finance, and fleet management. He will now also oversee the equipment, law, and human resources departments.

“Marty has made a meaningful impact at TTX in a very short time,” Wells said in a press release. “He’s helped TTX steer through a complex tariff environment, sharpen our fleet strategy and strengthen the commercial efforts driving strong utilization and revenue this year. His commitment to TTX, deep understanding of our owners’ needs and strong leadership make him the right person to help guide the company forward.”

Thomas joined TTX after 29 years with GE Transportation/Wabtec, where he held roles of increasing responsibility, concluding as senior executive, global operations, for a $3.6 billion business segment.
