BERLIN — InnoTrans, the biennial event that is the world’s largest transportation trade fair, will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026 with a fully booked display area, organizer Messe Berlin has announced.
Almost a year ahead of the 15th InnoTrans, set for Sept. 22-25, 2026, all of the more than 200,000 square meters of display space (2.15 million square feet) is accounted for, with more than 200 new exhibitors registered. At least 10 transportation companies will have displays, led by German national operator Deutsche Bahn, while numerous national rail associations, such as the UK’s Rail Industry Association and Switzerland’s Swissrail.
The organizers say the rail infrastructure segment has show particular growth, and that the AI Mobility Lab — focused on transportation applications for artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, and data protection, will have its own dedicated hall after debuting in 2024. AI will also be the focus of a special stage program and guided tours to help visitors explore AI-based products in every area of InnoTrans. In all, InnoTrans features five segments: rail infrastructure, rail technology, public transport, interiors, and tunnel construction. The Messe Berlin site that hosts InnoTrans is unique for its availability of more than 3,500 meters (almost 11,500 feet) of display track, allowing manufacturers to display their newest equipment.
