Driggers, who joined Cathcart Rail as chief operating officer in June, succeeds Jeff Chick. He brings more than 25 years of rail industry experience, including leadership roles in maintenance, fleet management, and component manufacturing and reconditioning at A. Stucki, as well as at Appalachian Railcar Services.

“Scott’s broad industry knowledge and visionary leadership make him uniquely qualified to lead Cathcart Rail into its next phase of growth. His commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction aligns perfectly with our mission and values,” the Cathcart board of directors said in a statement today.

The company extended its appreciation to Chick for his guidance and valuable contributions.

Cathcart Rail, founded in 2016, has grown to be a leading freight rail services and transportation company. It operates one of the nation’s largest railcar services networks, which includes more than 100 facilities across 26 states including a nationwide field services operation, 11 repair facilities and a rail services division that operates our short line railroads and a dozen switching/transloading sites.

In June Tikhau Star Infra, which held a stake in the company since 2022, acquired the full interest in Cathcart Rail.

Cathcart employs more than 800 people. Its short lines include Belpre Industrial Parkersburg Railroad, Cornhusker Railroad, and Bucyrus Industrial Railroad.
