GREEN RIVER, Wyo. — OmniTRAX has signed a long-term switching agreement to serve the Wyoming facility that produces Arm & Hammer baking soda.
The Church and Dwight facility in Green River, built in 1968, produces pharmaceutical-grade sodium bicarbonate at the site where the trona ore is mined. Wyoming is home to 90% of the world’s trona ore deposits.
“Arm & Hammer is an iconic American brand and OmniTRAX is proud to provide the safe and reliable rail service to keep Church and Dwight’s Green River facility moving smoothly,” OmniTRAX CEO Colby Tanner said in a press release.
Church and Dwight is the largest baking soda producer in the U.S. and parent company of products used in industrial, institutional, medical, food, and cleaning applications. Its 24-hour-a-day facility is the third in Green River to contract with OmniTRAX in the past year, following the Tata Chemical soda ash facility [see “OmniTRAX to provide rail service …,” Trains.com, Aug. 6, 2025] and the WE Soda Westvaco soda ash mine [see “OmniTRAX adds second switching contract …,” Aug. 15, 2025].
