
OMAHA, Neb. — Union Pacific has distributed more than $4 million in grants to 430 nonprofit organizations across its system as part of its Community Ties Giving Program, the railroad announced Monday (Oct. 13).
Grants range from $5,000 to $30,000, and support what the railroad says are its giving priorities: safety, workforce development, community vitality, and environmental sustainability.
“Union Pacific is committed to empowering local organizations that are driving meaningful change,” Liisa Lawson Stark, UP vice president-Public Affairs, said in a press release. “These nonprofits are the heartbeat of their communities, and we’re honored to support their efforts to create safer, more vibrant places.”

How would one find out who state grants (or individual grantee’s were) went to, in Utah for example?
Really trying to put on a good face, they wouldn’t be this generous were it not for their merger hopes.
