Canadian National logoWILDWOOD, Alberta — The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating the derailment of a Canadian National intermodal train west of Edmonton on Thursday.

The Edmonton Journal reports that 37 loaded intermodal cars derailed in “various positions” about 5:30 p.m. Thursday near Wildwood, 77.5 rail miles west of Edmonton. The incident is on CN’s busy Edson Subdivision between Edmonton and Jasper, Alta.

No injuries were reported. CN says there were no reports of cars leaking dangerous goods, or of fires or impact on the public.
