Two commuter trains in snow
NJ Transit commuter rail lines are running on a severe weather schedule on Tuesday, Jan. 27, as the agency continues to dig out from a major winter storm. NJ Transit

NJ Transit commuter rail operations will remain on a Severe Weather Schedule-Level 2 today (Tuesday, Jan. 27), while other transit systems in the Northeast continue to move toward or have restored regular operations following the severe winter weather last weekend.

NJ Transit commuter rail schedules and other updates are available here. As of 8 a.m. ET, the only other NJ Transit issue is on the light rail River Line. Its service is suspended in the Camden area between the Waterfront Entertainment Center and Walter Rand Transportation Center because of vehicles stuck on the tracks.

For the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, all Metro rail service has been restored and Regional Rail will operate on a Satruday schedule. Bus service is being restored on a line-by-line basis. More information is available here.

As of 8:15 a.m. ET New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority is reporting delays and cancellations on eight Long Island Rail Road routes, while the Metro-North Railroad has delays on its Harlem and New Haven lines, cancellations on its Hudson Line, and bus substitutions on the New Canaan and Danbury branches. Nine subway lines are reporting delays while 15 lines report no alerts.

CTrail’s Hartford line is reporting one early train, Amtrak No. 495, has been replaced by buses “due to rail conditions,” while is running regular service. The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is operating all services at normal levels.
