  1. Why isn’t equipment available for the Michigan trains? They’re not getting that much snow from this storm. Pathetic.

  2. I have heard and/or read the weather reports for various parts of USA, as I have family here and there. My question is, what’s so unique or unusual? I’ve yet to know of anything that hasn’t happened before, many times. An ice storm in Middle Tennessee? Not every winter but it has happened. Deep snow in the Northeast? That’s business as usual. Cold in SE Wisconsin? At 16F today, that’s a bit of a warm spell for January 25th.

It’s not the weather that has changed. It’s the operational protocols of both freight and passenger railroading.
