HARTLAND, Wis. — The former Milwaukee Road main line across Wisconsin has been welcoming the return of CPKC’s Holiday Train for the 2025 season. The tour across the Badger State began on the evening of Dec. 9, with public whistle stops in Sturtevant and Caledonia, Wis., before overnighting in Milwaukee’s Muskego Yard. The train was on the move again the next evening (Dec. 10) while stopping in Wauwatosa, Hartland, Oconomowoc, Watertown, and Columbus. The final day of the Wisconsin tour is tonight: heading towards Portage, Wisconsin Dells, Mauston, Tomah, and Sparta, before tying down in La Crosse. The Holiday Train is scheduled to cross the Mississippi River into Minnesota on Dec. 12, and head northwest to St. Paul. The full schedule of stops and performers is available here for U.S. stops, with more information available at the Holiday Train section of the CPKC website.
