CALGARY, Alberta — Canadian Pacific Kansas City has announced the schedule and artist lineup for the 2025 CPKC Holiday Train, which will see two trainsets bringing live music performances to 196 locations collects food and raises money to support community food banks across the CPKC network.
The Holiday Train will launch its 2025 Canadian schedule in Montreal on Nov. 19, concluding Dec. 21 in Gleichen, Alberta. The U.S. schedule beings Nov. 22 in Hermon, Maine, and concludes Dec. 18 in Kenmare, N.D.
“Every year, our railroaders take great pride in bringing the Holiday Train across our network, this year reaching even more communities for the first time,” CPKC CEO Keith Creel said in a press release. “We are thrilled to send this beautiful train filled with lights and music to spread the joy of the season and proud to support the giving spirit of the holidays assisting people experiencing food insecurity. It’s incredible to see communities come together every year to celebrate the holidays while supporting local food banks.”
Thirteen communities will be visited by the train for the first time: six in Louisiana, four in Texas, and one each in Maine, Oklahoma, and Ontario. Performers scheduled to take part include Barenaked Ladies, Smash Mouth, Tyler Shaw, Brittany Kennell, Jade Eagleson, JJ Wilde, American Authors, Pynk Beard, Teigen Gayse, Lanco, Tiera Kennedy and Dylan Marlowe. The full schedule of stops and performers is available here for U.S. stops and here for those in Canada.
All performances are free, with CPKC encouraging attendees to make a monetary or food donation to local food banks, which will be represented at each stop.
The Holiday Train has collected more than $26 million and more than 5.4 million pounds of food since 1999. This year’s U.S. train will feature a new light display honoring the legacy of the Kansas City Southern Holiday Express train, retired this year after 23 years of visiting communities on the KCS network.
