Amtrak logo.WASHINGTON — Amtrak’s board of directors will once again provide live streaming of a portion of its next meeting, set for Wednesday, Sept. 10.

The live stream is set for noon to 1 p.m. ET. Members of the public who wish to watch on Zoom must register in advance here. There will be no public attendance or public question-and-answer session.

Amtrak’s meeting announcement says topics during the public portion of the session are expected to include reports from the company’s finance and commercial divisions, a review of capital projects, and an update on the launch of the NextGen Acela trainsets.

Amtrak’s last live streaming of a meeting came on July 31. The 45-minute session discussed the Acela launch, and offered information on revenue and customer-satisfaction surveys [see “Numbers-heavy Amtrak public board meeting …,” Trains.com, July 31, 2025].

  1. Hi, I would love to see the Huntsville Alabama train station reopen. People should not have to go to Birmingham Alabama to get to Huntsville Alabama. You take Amtrak, then a bus, then a Uber to finally get to your destination. You have students, parents, elderly people and handicapped people who travel to Huntsville Alabama a lot and it’s hard traveling that way. I am handicapped and Amtrak is my only means of transportation, I don’t fly and I don’t do cruise ships. So please, please if at all possible with new business opening up in Huntsville Alabama please look deep into opening up the Amtrak station in Huntsville Alabama. Thank You Sandy Byrd.
