JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Several people are being treated for smoke inhalation after a fire today at the Port Authority Trans-Hudson Newport station in Jersey City.

PATH service on the Hoboken-World Trade Center and Journal Square-33rd Street lines has been, according to PATH.

The fire broke out under an eastbound train about 6:20 a.m. ET, leading to the train’s evacuation, WNBC-TV reports.

NJ Transit rail and bus service is cross-honoring tickets during the disruption, as are New York Waterway ferries.

  1. Note that as of 10 a.m., the World Trade Center – NWK and Hoboken – 33rd Street lines were operating.
