EDSON, Alberta — The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is sending investigators to a collision of two Canadian National Railway trains described by the railroad as a sideswipe incident.
The CBC reports the incident occurred about 7:15 a.m. today (May 18, 2025) near Edson, Alberta. A CN spokeswoman said several cars of grain derailed because of the low-speed incident. No injuries were reported.
Edson, on CN’s Edson Subdivision, is about 195 kilometers (120 miles) west of Edmonton, Alta.
