Yes, the NY democrats really got hit in that piece.
Having said that, stripping out layers of management, regardless of flavor, is almost always a good thing.
The Penn Station article is a political hit piece, but does do a good job laying out the various proposals and identifying the players. The subway signaling piece is a good layman’s introduction to Interlocking Towers, levers, and model boards.
