CHICAGO — Continuing work to repair damage caused by a Canadian National freight-train derailment has led Metra to announce its Electric Line will remain on a modified schedule through Friday.

The schedule is similar to the one used Monday, with minor modifications. It is available here.

The CN derailment near Metra’s Harvey station on Jan. 30 damaged catenary supports and two electrical substations for the Metra line. [See “CN derailment keeps Metra, South Shore, and Amtrak trains sidelined,” Trains News Wire, Feb. 1, 2019.]
